Created in 2001, Shreveport Opera Xpress (SOX) is the education and outreach
program of Shreveport Opera and the ONLY program of its kind in the entire
state! SOX performances take place in schools, libraries, community centers,
children’s hospitals and nonprofit organizations and reach approximately 50,000
children, youth and adults annually. The performances provide a unique
cultural experience, one many would not have otherwise, as well as teach
valuable lessons through their social messages.
